About Hillingdon Theatre Societies Workshop Co-Operative

We are a co-operative of three theatre societies Argosy Players, Ruislip Dramatic Society and Ruislip Operatic Society. We have a large fully equipped workshop, where the societies build scenery for their own productions and a large room for storing our extensive collection of props.

We are very grateful to the London Borough of Hillingdon for finding this space for us and for providing finance for adapting the rooms to our own requirements. The workshop was offically opened by Councillor Henry Higgins, Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Leisure in the presence of The Worshipful the Mayor of Hillingdon Councillor David Yarrow on 20th July 2010.

The workshop is always busy, but a very friendly place to work in with experienced people who have many years of working in the theatre arts. The societies work under the guidance of a committee with support from society representatives.

All the societies in the group present at least two to three productions each year at the Compass Theatre in Ickenham or at the Winston Churchill Theatre in Ruislip.
